Assault Armoroid Angelio (Japanese) on WinXP SP-2 English

    Hello,
    I installed an image of:

Assault Armoroid Angelio: The Methuselah's Chronicle #1 (Japanese 2D Shooter)

Shoot The Core: The Shmup Fan's Resource

But when I run the executable, an error message in some weird messed up text comes up and goes no further.

I suspect that the game is intended to work for the Japanese version of WinXP.
I'm using WinXP PRO SP-2 English.

How do I get around this problem?
If install Japanese language pack, will it work?
Or will I need to install a complete Japanese version of WinXP?

    Thanks in advance.

Go to your Regional and Language setting, and install the east-asian language, then set the advance -> "language for non-unicode program" to japanese.

You might also need to download a tool off the microsoft site called:
Microsoft AppLocale to force windows to run the program in a certain language environment

So, I installed the Japanese Language pack in WinXp PRO and also used the Microsoft AppLocale tool.
But this is what comes up when I tried Assault Armoroid Angelio.

Can anybody translate the options that you check in the title screen, as well as the error message?!
A tried all combinations but with no luck.

Any help will be highly appreciated!
    Thanks in advance.

I don't know any japanese but its similar to chinese so I'll take a guess.

    Option 1 - High resolution?
Option 2 - System 3d something or other
Option 3 - Has a sound word so probably sound on/off

    Bottom left - 2 words = start
    Bottom right - last 2 words = Help/Manual

Sorry I can't help any further....

Re: Assault Armoroid Angelio (Japanese) on WinXP SP-2 English

The error says "0.5" is not a floating point number. Which is just probably just some default error message when Applocale mess the program up.

Applocale have quite a poor compatibility, thats why I suggested just changin the system locale.
