Can't connect to youtube

I've got one heck of a wierd problem, and that is that i cannot connect to Youtube.

However, every other website i try to connect to, i can connect to perfectly well.


Does anyone have any ideas?

Can you resolve the name? (Open a command prompt and type "nslookup www.youtube.com")
Other than that, you don't live in Pakistan do you?

Haha, I'm 100% sure i don't live in Pakistan.

After typing in "nslookup www.youtube.com" in cmd, i got this:

"DNS Request Timed Out"

So, i'm guessing that it can't resolve the name (not too up to scratch with this sort of thing)

Any ideas on how to rectify this?

I can't access it either, I'm on Virgin Media . . . I accessed it earlier today, but have just tried.

Virgin Media's DNS gets DoS'd all the time, use OpenDNS's servers instead.

Nameservers are 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220

Meh, a little from column "A" and a little from "B". Probably fallen over with the massive upsurge of newly upgraded 10mb connections seeking out DNS for P2P apps, before the restrictions come in.

Every so often Youtube seems to disapear from the net... Same with Hotmail - some people can access and others can't - the wierdness's of the world..
