    Question Firewire/USB card Question

Hi guys, I have this PCI firewire/USB card, i dont know what make it is, or can i find the notes that came with it...with has a four power connector on there? why is that? i mean it works fine...but recently my firewire transfer is slow...do i need to plug in to the power socket?

and it seems to have one port, but placed so it would be inside the case, think i could just plug in my usb bluetooth adapter (coz it gets in the way outside, and when i unplug in, it takes ages for it to find the drivers again on x64).

    cheers!

    Re: Firewire/USB card Question

There should be an FCC ID code on the card somewhere (it is PCI?) - if you can find that and do a Google search on FCC ID codes, you can identify the manufacturer and perhaps get some up to date drivers.

Can't see any of the pictures at work, but I expect the power connector will be for devices requiring power (which the larger 6-pin socket can do, but not the smaller 4-pin if I remember right). It shouldn't have any influence on any transfer speeds.
