Yeah - already tried it - and from a Falsh drive, too.
The point is that the rig just doesn't run for long enough to do anything - just under 5 seconds. So not even a POST attempt - just continual spin up and wind down every 5 secs.
I've mailed Asus and they don't seem convinced it's a BIOS issue. Mind you - as it's their windows based program that potentially screwed it, I guess they wouldn't.
My system would not boot from the cd or boot at all. The BIOS had been fried by the ASUS windows flash program and as a result would not boot, at all. My P5K uses the newer style socketted chip with eight legs. Plugged the new chip in and it worked straight away.
The replacement chip saved me loads of grief. The retailer I bought the motherboard from didnt even reply to my rma request!

The issue is now resolved - I returned the MoBo to Scan and they replaced it within a week with a brand new one - the updated version with up to 1600MHz FSB!!
Now that is customer service!
So I swapped my 50 week old P5K-E WiFi for a brand new one - cost me £10.99 postage for returning the board.
I know some will say I shouldn't have to pay that, but I reckon I got a damn good deal.

Hmmmmm. Differs considerably from the kind of customer experience I have had from said retailer, I have not used them since they failed to repay me for a refund they kept promising to pay me. I then took the opportunity to stop using them from work also and cancelled our business account. They lost in the end. I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.
Believe me I spent enough time talking to people there and via email to get the promised refund. Bad service should not be allowed to happen in the first place. If you talk to people in the company and they wont help then I think that says a lot about a company. Their loss not mine.
