Cooler for 6800 GT?

Hi Guys,

My First post for quite some time here!

Just wondering what cooler people would recommend for my 6800 GT? I've been away for some time and have no idea what would fit!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Cooler for 6800 GT?

You should be able to go with a passive cooler with this card, providing you have good case cooling.

One solution would be:

Zalman VNF100 Super Blue Aluminum VGA Heatpipe Cooler
<£20
http://www.scan.co.uk/Product.aspx?WebProductId=614468

Compatability:

Or the very popular:

Arctic Cooling Accelero AC-S1 rev 2
>£15
http://www.scan.co.uk/Product.aspx?WebProductId=627848

EDIT: I think the newer AC-S2 will fit your card as well:

I think the Arctic Cooling fits the bill nicely, and is a great price also.

Excellent. Looks good.

You sure a passive will be ok on that? Card shall be in a large case wiht good cooling but I always worry about heat! The card will lightly overclocked as well.

I did have watercooling previosly which is why I do not have the cooler for it.

Re: Cooler for 6800 GT?

Anyone else? Is this card gonna be ok wiht a passive cooler when over clocked? Its probably going to be going into a Armour Case...

Re: Cooler for 6800 GT?

You can add a slow spinning fan to the Arctic Cooling heatsinks if you are planning on overclocking. The 6800GT was a popular card and I know there are loads of people using above mentioned products. If you're overclocking then adding a fan would be a good idea. How will you be overclocking it?

This is the jobby you need:

Re: Cooler for 6800 GT?

Great. Thanks for all your help. Looks like i know what to get.

As far as overlclocking go's; I used to use some program that allowed very eay control of speeds and freqs. To be honest I havent had a rig for quite some time and have been living off som ****ty laptop.

Only just starting to gather bits together and dug out this old card. It used to fair me well in the past so thought I would revive it!

Can remeber what that program was called though? It was some small reg file you added. It was made by Nvidia I think?
