As a ThreeHundred owner I had exactly the same problems... Managed to make my audio cable reach without going over the motherboard, but only by using the standard audio connector (ie not the HD one). Would be interested to know if you manage to track down a decent 3.5" adapter though as I want to get a card reader soon

Oh and I find CPC is a great place to find odd bits&bobs

you may not be able to find the extention cables but you can get the wire and connectors from cpc and make one.
