    Powerpoint rotation....

    Guys..

is there a way to show the rotation of an object through a fixed point?

    i.e.

so that the object rotates around 'point p' and shows the intermediate steps... i.e. a smooth transition.. not just a jerky 'oh here we go' scenario, and instantaneous conversion...

or is it just asking too much of powerpoint?

    Cheers Guys/Gals

*really wasn't sure where to put this.. so i whacked it in technical *

I've not used powerpoint in ages...but in almost every package its a matter of moving the origin (its usually in the centre of the object) to the point you want it to rotate.

    Re: Powerpoint rotation....

I thought you have to imbed an animated graphic in the slide to achieve that effect?

Basically slide one, is the object at rest, slide two has the animated graphic in and slide three has the final at rest position.

    Re: Powerpoint rotation....

Have you tried grouping the objects and setting the origins?
