    problem with motherboard

i just upgraded to a new motherboard and instead of showing 4gb of ram it shows 2gb
it shows each memory stick as 1gb instead of 2gb
and on my old mother board it showed it as 4gb
and both slots seem to work

    i got ddr 2 800mhz (2gb x 2)

i tried both on xp 32 bit and vista 64 bit but it still shows as 2gb on new motherboard

my new motherboard is a gigabyte ga-p31-s3g

my old motherboard was a biostar gf-7050v-m7
