    P5Q Deluxe Sata Drivers?

I have just built a new system based on a Q6600 in a P5Q deluxe. I have bought a SATA HDD to put in it, but i am unsure of the correct drivers to use in the Windows Install, i have only used PATA drives before now!

The board is using the P45/ICH10 Chipset, but i'm having a hard time trying to work out which drivers to download from the Intel site. Could somebody who is also using a P5Q Dlx advise which drivers to get?

    Thanks in advance!

Thanks for that, i should have probably mentioned that i need the drivers to install an OS though...

I'm going to slipstream them into a windows install, when i can find them!

    Anymore suggestions?

    Re: P5Q Deluxe Sata Drivers?

They are plug and play, set SATA controller to IDE mode in the BIOS (IDE is set by default), OS will see the drive fine without needing drivers. gogogo

I believe you'll lose the hot-swap capabilities if you use IDE emulation mode though.
