    Question CPU Voltage Issues

I'm having some issues with my CPU voltages fluctuating.

    I'm running:
    GA-965P-DS3 (rev. 1.0) (13x firmware, I think )
    Core2Duo E6400 (Conroe)
    4x1GB OCZ XTC Platinum Rev.2 DDR-800

My E6400 (stock 2.13GHz) is running at 3.12GHz with the voltages set manually as such:
    CPU 1.4250v
    DDR +0.1v
    Rest default

I've made sure I disabled all the auto overclocking features, as well as any ones that limit the CPU with voltage and clock adjustments.

Yet when I get into Windows, multiple programs report my CPU voltage as 1.440v - 1.456v (fluctuating every so often), and only under load does it start fluctuating between 1.424v - 1.440v.

I've got myself a Big Typhoon with a Silverstone 120mm fan on it, as well as plenty of case cooling.

I've heard of voltage _leak_ before, what on earth is causing my CPU voltage to be higher than I set?

i have a vague idea it could be something to do with Vdroop? i will get back to you on that. It may be that your mobo is dieing on you. You could try the pencil mod, however if i were you i would lower the clocks slightly and see if it still occurs. I hope this is of some help?

that fluctuation is nothing to worry about and bios vs desktop sensors are always out, only way to tell the true voltage is using a multimeter

I don't think the pencil mod is usable on the revision 1 boards, I had a quick look around and I think it only applies to the later revisions.
