X1950 Pro Not Working With 6GB RAM

Just upgraded my system to 6GB of RAM but this seems to stop my graphics driver from working. I currently have a Vissta 64 Bit system with the latest driver for the X1950 Pro. I had 2GB of RAM then stuck another 4 GB in and then the graphics driver wouldnt work properly. When I stick it down to 5GB or below it works fine.

I have tried re-installing the driver and previous version with no such luck. Is there any reason why this would happen?

It's the current 8.12 drivers, seemingly only on certain northbridges (as it doesn't affect x58 boards). Same happens with the Windows 7 preview drivers too.

Expect it to be fixed in 9.1, which must be released any day now, but otherwise the 8.11 drivers do work fine. If they don't, then it's something else.

Another option is to limit the memory to 3072mb in msconfig, apparently (haven't tested that).

    Thanks for that.
I have taken the extra 1GB of RAM out and am running at 5GB now. WIll wait for the new driver to come out and hopefully this will fix it.
