Kworld DVB-T 300u can't find channels

Right, I hope this has been posted in the right place but...
I recently purchased a Kworld DVB-T 300u USB tv tuner although when I try to scan for channels, none seem to be found. I tried the included aerial and no luck then i bought an aerial from argos that has an inbuilt amplifier, but still no channels seem to be found. Before i press the start scan button, it says I have a signal strength of around 45db (im not sure if this is good or bad) but when I start scanning it turns to N/A and then doesnt find anything. I hope this problem isn't really stupid but oh well. Please help.

I had a USB DTV tuner a while back - couldn't get a strong enough signal with either the included antenna or a separate indoor antenna. The only way I could get any channels was if I plugged in the antenna from the roof. If you have an antenna on your roof, have a try with that. I think indoor antennas only work if you're in a strong signal area. I ended up taking mine back to the shop for a refund as I was sold it after being told it would work fine with an indoor antenna.

What software are you using?

I remember when I got my DVB-T stick couple of years ago and installed the bundled software it wouldnt pick up any signals, I use mainly progdvb now which is really nice, and the aerial i use is the one that came with it which is a small thin stick but works fantastic when I attach it to the metal frame of my bed

hmm is that program ur using good, because i might try it. Apparently the software bundled is rubbish and so far im not too impressed by it.

^ usually most bundled software are rubbish from my experience.

and yeh it good, its a light software which is why i like it, i use version 4 as version 5 can be a bit dodgy.

There are also loads of other software, one other being mediaportal very similar to wmc, and if you dont mind paying theres also cyberlink power cinema, but probably better off trying out the free stuff.
