Question on MCE and DVB Tuners

I'm thinking about building myself an HTPC to record DVB amongst other things.

I already have the TV card - a Kworld 210 which has digital and analogue tuners which is plugged into my XP Home PC right now.

It works great in terms of picture and sound, but when I scan for digital TV channels using the Kworld software, it gives me all of the channels in a meaningless order - BBC1, BBC2, BBC3, BBC4, CBBC, Channel 5 - ITV is around channel 30-odds.

The Kworld software doesn't allow the channels to be re-organised (e-mail to their support folks confirmed this). I also tried MediaPortal to no avail.

Does the MCE built into Vista Premium (preferably the 64 bit version) allow you to re-organise channels? If it does, is it specific to certain brands of cards or tuner chipsets?

Any help would be appreciated - I'm a total novice when it comes to MCE versions of Windows. Any other issues with Windows MCE to beware of would be appreciated.

Yes, you can reorganise them into any order you want.
As long as your card as BDA drivers, you're fine

Cheers. How exactly do I know if they are BDA or not (sorry, but like I said earlier I am a novice).

Scan say it's MCE compatible: http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=514152

Kworld say it's "Certified for Vista" and "Microsoft® Windows Vista tested and approved (software and hardware). Fully supports Vista Premium Media Center The KWorld Plus TV series, including hardware and software, have all been qualified under extensive testing to ensure complete Microsoft Windows Vista compatibility.": http://www.kworld.com.tw/product_overview.aspx?P_ID=27 (sorry, but their site is very slow).

Just install the standard driver only for it and MCE will run it as normal. I don't tend to re-organise channels on my DVB-T card (Winfast model) in Vista MCE as I like the sorting that is done by the Freeview system as it matches up with the TV guide etc.
