    hard drive health issue

i insatlled a new hard drive a month ago.
according to my hardrive moniter, its only been running 27 days which is right but its helth has dropped to 57% already, its exactly the same hardrive as my old one and same operateing system the only hardware thats diferent in the system is the graphics card, it says the disk read error ratio has dropped giving it its 57% life, any ideas why it has done this and how do i fix it or get it fixed.

Post a screenshot of your HDD's SMART data and also let us know what drive it is. You can use HD Tune http://www.hdtune.com/ to get SMART data.

    Re: hard drive health issue

I find that apart from temperature and relocated sector count, all other values are useless. I've had drives that died with SMART all green, and have drive that still running while SMART said it failed.

Unless the harddrive acting weird physically (i.e. weird clicks) there shouldn't be any problem.
