web'n'walk - vista & wallpaper

Right just got a new laptop with vista on it, and using the t-mobile web'n'walk on it. Now i wanted to have one of the hexus wallpaper for my desktop....................but the image does not look right. Let me explain- web'n'walk does not show pictures on the web in full pixel detail. Instead it looks a bit odd (can't really explain it- well unless you have used the web'n'walk stick) Now I dl the right size for my resolution, but when applied to my desktop from the my pic folder, it looks like i'm looking at it on the web (using the web'n'walk stick)

Any idea on I can do or what the problem is?

Try going through a https-based proxy, like https://www.sureproxy.com/
Then download through it. That way the T-mobile transparent proxy cannot intercept and compress the image (for your benefit, i.e. to save bandwidth)

Or you can load the URL of the image in a brower, refresh it, and you should get the original from the proxy.

This is the only thing about WnW I don't like.
