    computer shuts down help needed

    HI
Posting this on behalf of my sister, she had to get a new psu about 4 weeks ago now tonight she cant get anything to load every time its switched on it goes to the recovery screen with the prompt to select last know good configuration, i have tried that option also normal and safe mode all she gets is a couple of seconds of it loading then it switches off.
Tried all accessories unplugged just monitor and keyboard\mouse connected but still the same result.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    Robert

Thought that but found out its an acer with no system disc just the files on-board for a re-install and she didn't burn these to disc to make a back up.
Any ideas btw its xp she was running?
    Thanks

Thanks for all the help people, had to take a drive up to see it today found out right away when i heard the cpu fan ramp up to full when booting, turns out 3 of the mounting brackets had broken so cpu overheat protection was kicking in , held the cooler onto the cpu and booted fine.
    So a new cooler needed
    Thanks
    Robert
