So, the old dear has finally decided she wants a new TV after years of watching a knackered old Phillips (buzzing etc).
As the family expert on Technology she assumes I know what to get. Problem is I haven't owned a TV since I was 18!
She's got £300, looking for reliability/warrenty which is the big issue as its taken her a while to save that much money. Must be black, with 1 HDMI and 1 scart as minimum, pref 2 scart. The poor old girl has no idea about technology, and just wants something to play her DVDs and VHS tapes! Side question, how does recording (on VHS tape) work with built in freeview?
Would prefer around 26-32", but most of the decent brands seem to be limited to 22 or 24" in this price range (Samsung etc). I've found this for £280. Any thoughts? I've emailed Ebuyer to ask about warrenty, but as I'm not familiar with the brand I can assume 12 months or so.
Suggestions and comments most welcome.
