    Blue Screen

My system dies with the blue screen every day.
I have checked the hardwares and their drivers, even re-fixed the memory, but it still happens every day.

Shall I re-install OS? Actually, I just re-install OS one week ago.

    Re: Blue Screen

I would check the system to see what is causing the blue screens of death.

You can do this by taking note of the error messages you are getting and doing a bit of googling with the error codes. You can also check in event viewer within the administration section to see what is causing the issues.

Also, I would advise running memtest on the memory which can be found at the following link Here

If you get any memory errors, that would be first port of call to get replaced.

    I hope this information helps.

    Best Regards

    Re: Blue Screen

How much ram have you got? Can you try taking one stick out at a time and testing it that way first? Could be a faulty stick?

    Re: Blue Screen

    We need more info:

    • Full hardware specs.
    • Power supply model.
    • What the PC was doing just before it crashed
    • Operating system (including lastest service pack).
    • Message displayed at BSOD.
    • Look in the Event Log for errors logged when the BSOD occurs.
    • Minidump errors http://www.vistaforums.com/Forum/Top....aspx#bm104093
    • Test hardware with Memtest86 and chkdsk.
    • Reset then update Motherboard BIOS.
    • Try removing hardware devices 1 by 1.

    Good luck!

    Re: Blue Screen

    Thank you.

If it happens again, I would take a picture.

Samsung PC2-6400 2G memory. BUT!!! I just found out that the system shows '2.01GHz 2.00G memory'.
BTW, I have never changed the configure in BIOS.

You can try using Windows Debugging Tools to find the cause of the BSOD, it might help find the solution to your issue.

I think you might have a problem with your hard drive or DVD drive.

    Run chkdsk:
