    Grrrrr - No subwoofer

    Hi All,

Have been messing about with this new build, and notidced that the sub is very quiet. Dead in fact.
I have a Creative T7900 setup to the onboard sound on the Giga UD5. Which means that I'm using the Realtek onboard sound.
I have 5 speakers working correctly, including the centre speaker which is supposed to share a lead with the sub (as far as I can make out). But nothing, nada, zero and zip from the sub. Just some dust...

I've checked and I appear to have the latest Realtek driver. I'm running Vista 64.
Does anyone have any ideas ?

    Thanks

    Re: Grrrrr - No subwoofer

I'm not familiar with the T7900, but I'm presuming it is a active sub rather than a passive one? If it's the latter then this will explain it.

Other than that, have you another source you could test it with perhaps?

    Ahem....Nevermind.
    Dodgy bass knob.
A bit of a wiggle/tap, LED lights up. Turn off, turn on....and Bingo.
