    bad bios chucksum error !

    a firend of mine just drop his pc around for me to fix, he said that the bios has gone, so i booted it up and get the bad bios chucksom error message, i'm read the manule and that said used the motherboard cd to recover the bios, i tryed this , got the bios back and it hung, or i reset it and i get teh bad bios eooro again, is this a new bios chip or replacement mainboard time ?

    Does it give you the option to continue to boot? Can you get into the BIOS? It sounds to me like you need to replace the motherboard battery and flash the BIOS

    as above, its the bios battery.

    well, its the easiest and cheapest option to try, just use one from your pc or something
