What SQL Course

I have landed myself a pemotion at work, Currently I am doing second line duties but have landed my self a position of DBA. My work have offered to pay for my training but dont know which corses to put me on. I will mainly be dealing with SQL Server 2005-08.

Do any of you guys recomend any good courses or point me in the right direction.

How much about SQL do you know to start with ?

I did all my SQL training with Qa ( www.qa.com) and found their standard of training to be very good. its not cheap but you get what you pay for.

Wel I have very basic understanding on sql. To be honest I would probably start from the bottom and work up.

there is a 2 or 3 day Transact SQL course thats a good starting point. learning how to query a SQL server is a pretty key point.

Then look at instal / configure for either 2k5 or 2k8 depending on which one you will be using more of.
