Hi,
Just setting up a new system (See sig for details)
When i come to install Vista (Either x86 or x64) using an OCZ Vertex SSD or a normal SATA Drive
1. The point where Vista Loads from the DVD to Asking you to select the language is Painfully slow, a good 3 or 4 minutes, then when you select your language and click next it waits another 3 or 4 minutes! (On any other system this would take a second or 2) I have tried this with 1,2 and 3 sticks of RAM installed, still the same each time, motherboard is factory defaullt settings and have updated to latest BIOS. So anyone any idea why so slow?
The good news is that after this point, Vista goes ahead and installs fine on a Normal SATA Hard Drive, however:
2: When installing on the OCZ Vertex, go through the same as above, slow to start, then when it come to the first reboot after installing the files, i get the following message:
File: \windows\system32\winload.exe
Status: 0xc000000f
Info: the selected entry could not be loaded becasue the application is missing or corrupt
Obviously ultimately i will want the OS installed on the Vertex, i have flashed the drive to the latest firmware as per OCZs recommendation, anyone any ideas why this is happening? Have tried the install a few times now...
