so....ive been having alot of trouble with left 4 dead recently i will connect to a game then disconnect from the server withing the first 3 mins of gameplay, odd as my ping is fine and so forth, ive begain to wonder if it is my internet connection? but that seems fine. also i use the free version of avira ive wonderd if this has anything to do with it?? im at alose and not being able to play is a right pain in theso any suggestions on things i can do to help?? like ports and such?? thanks!

Check your router logs to see if its blocking anything. I found the same would happen with CS S and it was becuase the crappy O2 router would think I was having a UDP attack and block the ports.

....im using a o2 router, how do i check the logs on it? lol so yes im with o2 be, ive not heard of UDP before......odd as im the techy in the family who should know lol. Erm well it has been just me on the router at the time of gaming but there is a total of 6 computers that connect to it, normally only 3 are being used at any one time mind.

oh no there not normaly on the router when im gaming lol, ive been trying to find the logs on my router but i cannot anyone got any ideas??? ive got the o2 wireless box 2 which i belive is a Thompson speedtouch of some sort....

nope, thought that was my problem so hooked up my network cable (right next to the router)
