Bizzare ADSL Filter issue

Every now and then i get a serious speed drop from around 22mb to 7mb, if I then change the filter it goes back up to 22, yet the next day I can put the old filter back and still get 22mb out of it. The broadband company said they have no faults on the network last time I called. Any ideas whats causing this bizzareness.

Maybe it's not the filter... when you change it you'll be doing a resync so perhaps next time don't change the filter and do a router reboot/resync - if it solves the problem without a filter change that's one item ruled out.

Perhaps grab your router stats whilst at 22mb, then grab them again at 7mb (before you reysnc obviously) to compare.
