    Dell 3 Year Warranty??

    Hi folks, anybody on here had any dealings with Dells 3 year warranty??

    My 24in S2409W monitor is faulty and I am just wonderng what the scenario is for them replacing it as I don't think they stock this monitor any more - this is the warranty I have:
    "3Y Monitor Replacement Service"

    Do they come out to your house and attempt a repair or do you have to ship the monitor back to them and do without one?? The reason I ask is I am going on holiday for 4 weeks shortly and I am wondering if it is better putting it off until I get back as nobody will be about the place if it is RMA'd.

    i had one of my dells go not that long ago, just rang them up and gave them the sn of my monitor and described the fault and they sent out a reconditioned one the next working day.

    also with mine the sn was on the box not on the monitor so good job i keep all my boxes other wise id have been screwed.

    That is good to know mate - I think I have the box stored somewhere so will dig it out and give them a call.

    I had a problem with my SP2309W a few months ago. I went the e-mail route which took several days to get a reply. Once I got the reply though, they were very quick and I got the replacement the next day.

    yes, you just exchange the broken one for the one they bring.

    make sure you test and inspect it before handing over the old one.
