Geforce GTS 250 as a physics card

Guys, anyone got any idea if this is a good idea? I'm comtemplating doing it....and you can pick these cards up for about £40 now so it would seem like a sweet price to get the card at right?

Thing is im unsure if it would be up to the job, i know that i use a few games which use physics so it would benifit me in some ways but i thought i would ask a few things first,

Is there a way i can disable the card when it is not in use so as to save power?

is the card underpowered as a physics card?

    thanks!

    Linki at Tom's.

I would try for a more efficient card but then its not something I've looked into tbh. Tom's seem to think a 220; no idea what its a rebrand of.
