I have a problem with my motherboard, when I pun in my motherboard battery it wont boot up , the fans work but the screen is just black. And when I get out my battery from motherboard my pc will boot very good ! Any1 know where is the problem ? PLS need help.
My pc specs:
Mainboard: ASUS P5QL-PRO
CPU: Intel core 2 quad q6600 2.4 GHz
GPU: Gainward Nvidia Geforce GTS 250 with 512 mb
HDD: 500 GB sata
RAM: 4GB pqi 800 (2x2 GB)
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate - x64
Case: soon Cooler Master HAF 932
It's the first time I've heard a battery stopping a PC booting but if you have a multimeter, check the battery has a voltage. Also check it's in the right way (nearly always + up on holders which are flat on the motherboard surface) and not shorting the contacts.
the battery its in right way and I changed 2-3 new batteries but same problem !
It sounds like a faulty motherboard then, not really sure though as I've not seen this happen before.
