New system sound card issue

So got my system (3xs from scan) today but one big problem........plugging my speakers in produces no sound (and yes they are in the correct ones) I plugged my speaker in to the front of the case, and I get sound but nothing from sound card.

I have looked in all the sound option and can't see anything out of place. In playback the soudn card is selected as the default device. I thought it may have been a usb thing that was hanging out the back of the case, but removing it does nothing (and I have no idea what it is. Its blue inside the usb tip)

The sound card is a ASUS Xonar DX. I have also just tried the speakers from the jack on the front of the case, and I get sound but try again on the sound card or motherboard and nothing. In the speaker properties it says under jack information, 'No Jack Information Available'

Found the problem!! Looked in the ASUS soundcard program and found headset was selected not speakers. All sorted now
