    SATA HDD Help

After alot of trouble, i managed to get a replacement for my brand new Shuttle RefleXion which turned out to have a dead motherboard. Now i just set it up, and it boots (thank god) but, it begins to boot from my SATA hard drive and then it says "Disk Boot Failure. Insert the System Disk and Press Enter" If i put in the Windows disk it cannot find my drive and cant install to it. I also tried repairing my MBR but it couldnt find my drive either.

I've checked all the connections and tried 2 diff. ways of powering it (it can only have SATA power so I used the one that is built into the shuttle and a Molex to SATA power converter) but nothing works. I'm using the onboard controller and only have one hard drive so I wouldn't have thought that was the problem, though I tried it on bother channels.
I've stuck the Hard Drive into another machine aswell and it runs fine but it just won't boot when in my Shuttle!
I also tried different SATA cables but nothing.
Does anyone have any idea as to what it could be?
The first RefleXion i got from Microdirect on friday and I got another one from them 2day (going to send back the other one) and i'm gonna be seriously pissed off if this one turns out to be broken aswell
    Any help is much appreciated

I just tried booting from an SATA PCI card and it finds the drive but then says windows could no be started normally do I want to:
    Start Windows Normally
    Safe Mode
    Safe Mode With Network Prompt
    Safe Mode with Command Prompt
If I choose normal it hangs and restarts, if I choose safe it restart and i havent tried the others
    What do i do?

When you put it into the Shuttle to load did you hit F6 to load a driver when asked at the start of the install. You then feed it the SATA controller driver on a floppy later when asked to.

Well I managed to get the onboard SATA working (it was disabled in the BIOS )
But the HDD i'm using already has XP installed on it and it was running in another machine but now it gives me the Windows Cannot start correctly.
Do I need to format the drive because I moved it from one machine to another (the old machine was an AMD and the new system is a P4, make any difference?)
I don't really want to format the drive as I will have to register my copys of AutoCAD and Quark Xpress again but I will if i must.
    Thanks for your help
