    cheers

bloody Pc's, never had a problem on my powerbook
RMA means to return it to the place you bought it from for a replacement/refund. When did you buy it?

This is the web page that you have to fill in to get a RMA number : Cick here

After this they should email you back about it and go from there.
And dont get me started on the subject of macs.

i have similar problems with my shuttle. i think it is related to one of or a combination of the following:
    - the choice of graphics card (ATI Radeon 9600 Sapphire 128MB AGP)
    - the use of DVI monitor (IBM Thinkvision L200p DVI)
    - the use of external firewire devices (Lacie 120GB/Maxtor 250GB)

I find that unplugging the power and then plugging it back in again and/or removing the firewire drives allows me to boot fine... it's a very funny problem... thankfully i don't reboot/shutdown often so doesn't get to me too much.

When the machine power lights go off do the fans turn off and everything shut down?

If its the case assoon as you turn it on the fans turn on and the hard drive spins up and then every thing turns off,ten it is the power supply. I recently had the same problem I have the 250watt SilentX and when the machine booted power lights and fans etc flashed on and then it died but the green light on the motherboard was still on. I changed out the PSU and the machine booted fine.

I think it's most likely to be your power supply? Do you run it off a surge protector? I didn't,and I think that may have been the cause.

    Hi All,
I had the same problem which is how I ended up here surfing for a solution.
I also for a while found that removing USB dsevices would allow power up. looking at other threads on here I renewed the power supply for a SilentX PC50 300W supply and the problem was solcved immediately. I now believe that the addition of a second HDD & USB peripherals were trying to draw too much power on boot up than the original 200W power supply could give.
