Switch on hidden files and folders (Explorer, Tools, folder options, view).
Then go C, docs and settings, Ian and you'll see a semi-transperent (hidden) folder called Local settings. Within there is Temp, within that, Your file
This is very annoying. The file does not seem to be there at all, even though the netscape download manager said that it all downloaded to that location. Where is it aaaghh...

Bugger. I did not have any choice in the matter as netscapes d/l manager just put it there and did not give me a choice, as I said before its not my pc. I am very annoyed though as it took 8 hours to d/l on dialup. I am getting firefox for him now and will get him to use that instead.

If you goto My computer then press F3 and select find all files and folders and enter the filename it should find it then you can drag it to your desktop.
Although it might have been deleted if you have any "cleanup" programs if you've done that already.
Are you sure the file download finished? If not then it'll probably have some odd name/extension.
Or try to start downloading the file again. If it's still there, Netscape should warn you and ask you if you want to overwrite it. If it doesn't, you have to click OK and complete the redownload. I've had real problems with the Search in Explorer not finding files, even though they are actually there on my PC. No amount of tweaking has managed to fix this, and the files aren't even in 'hidden' places...
