Xp Troubles! :(

Hey,

My pc has got a problem.

It is running Windows XP home and when i attempt to logon via the welcome screen, i click my name and it says loading personal settings..., and stops there and just goes back to the welcome screen.

I've tried safe mode etc. so what can I do??

Tried to repair the install via the install cd?

Does it load in safe mode?

If so, go in and system restore to when it worked fine.

Also iirc there was a virus that used to cause this, but for the life of me I can't remember which one.
