1 gig is fine. 3D rendering is a very intensive process, try overclocking your graphics card a little. The 800XT isn't the best out there but it's certainly no slow coach.

I would have said CPU but yours seems fine, it won't hurt if you did go up to 2 GIG of ram as its so cheap nowdays.

Poser is not the best program out there... I remember using it at uni - cant remember having problems with it performance-wise. Your system looks pretty good, I can't see why it should struggle... maybe it is somthing else... have u tried changing the settings? Usually in these programs u can reduce the amount of on-screen info untill u actually want to render or export.
I doubt o'clocking will make a great diff.

OK thanks for the help, for some reason it seems to be running a bit smoother now anyway, must have been a settings thing.

    thanks for your help.

Your system specs are very good and personally I wouldn't change anything.

Basic housekeeping may help like removing unwanted programs and cleaning the Registry, doing a thorough CHKDSK or scandisk and a defrag, updating motherboard drivers and making sure DMA is enabled.

If it keeps doing it, try running it in Safe Mode and see.

If it doesn't, then you need to limit startup programs running in normal mode.
