    is RAM question again~

hello all good people in hexus, since late time i talk about crap RAM with A8N-SLI, the update is that my ram (crucial 512mb DDR400) has been brutally snatched by my gf (long story...) anyway, once again i have the option to buy a stick for my lovely new rig. (see below) and it would be really helpful if u guys could indulge me with advices.

currently i'm pretty tight on buget, and i am hoping to get one stick of 512MB RAM, and i've got an absolute maxium budget of £ 80 inc. VAT, so which one should i go for? i am still not sure, should i go for a stick of 512mb OC-friendly RAM? or should i go for 2x512mb Value RAM which i can make it work in dual channel and OC it mildly?

ps. does anyone know which vaule RAM is the most OC friendly?

thank you again for you input, it is your help that makes a newbie complete~
Brand new kid in the world of building PC and MILD OC-ing~

ASUS A8N-SLI (i know is not deluxe)
    AMD ATHLON 64 3000+ S939 (i know is Winchester)
    ANTEC SLK1650B w/ 350w ATX 12V (i know i can get better)
MAXTOR DIAMONDMAX 10 SATA 160GB (i know is noisy)
    ASUS EAX300/TD 128MB (i know is crap)
CRUCIAL 512MB DDR400 PC3200 RAM (i know is only value ram)

if you want cheap ram, then microdirect have some, and so do simply's. custom pc did a reveiew of ram in this months issue (out today) and awarded Scan's elixir pc3200 its budget award. £81 for two sticks of 512 (matched pair) and they overclocked to 220fsb on an athlon 64 machine. thats what i would go for at your budget.

Is that ram compatable in the asus board though??(one way to find out)
99.9% of all computer problems are caused by the software between the keyboard and the chair. (A8N-Sli deluxe owners excluded)
