    NEC 3520a.. what media

bout to jump onto the DVD burning bandwagon and am going to order a 3520a.. but which media do you reckon i should get? Im getting a load of stuff off ebuyer so what do you think is the best (not too expensive!) dvd-rs (or +r) to get from them?

    See Khizman's post here:
    http://forums.hexus.net/showthread.php?t=40706

I've got the 3500A which is similarish and that does not like certain combinations of (low grade?) DVD-R media coupled with certain versions of Nero (particularly 6.6.0.6 - 6.6.08). Nero/3500A chewed up a whole box of DVD-Rs I bought from Scan. Have now switched to DVD+R to see if there's more reliability. Odd though because any grade CDR media seems to work fine.

Verbatim is obviously the best, but more expensive than the rest.

Also agree that Rambox.co.uk is an excellent place to order from.

I have a load of Datasafe MCC 003 dye discs and get excellent burns on my 3500 (P0 averages about 10 and PI averages 1). SVP have stopped doing those but they have Datawrite printables with the same dye for the same price I paid (£5.49 for 25).

My 3500 gives appaling burns on the CDs I have, massive errors for the first part of the disc, then they're fine after that. Luckily my Yamaha burner does fine with them.
