    dual boot and new harddrive.

i have dual boot win98/2000 on discs c and d both fatsystem.
disc c has got too noisy and slow and needs replacing.
if i buy a new disc and install a new win98 on it,will i still get my dual boot choice menu?..or is there more to do?i will save what progs i need before change, but do i need to save the boot menu.?

It's really not that simple. You could try cloning said windows 98 partition onto a new disk, that should let it go over fine. What you say can be done, but it would involve a good head scratching!

    dual boot win98se/2000

thanks for reply...i dont know whether this should be a new thread,but....what if i just junk disc c and use only the win2000 disc, set as master?...will it work on its own or will the fact that it was on a dual boot as the slave drive cause problems?
