Showing jpegs on a DVD player

I'm trying to make a CD of jpeg photos that we can show on our living room DVD player - a Sony RDR-GX3. I've burned them as a data disc (both in folders and straight on to the disc), but each time I get a "disc error" from the DVD player. The files are viewable in Explorer, so I know the disc is OK.

Am I burning using the wrong method, or are my cheap Tesco CDRs no good for the DVD player?

I just use nero.Open nero start smart and choose the vcd option. Then just drag and drop your jpegs in the window. You can even have a menu.

I didn't think it'd work with a VCD, will try it now.

[edit] That worked I'm not sure how to create a menu though. I burned one folder's worth of photos successfully However, when I tried to copy several folders (expecting to create a menu) I got "access denied" with each folder.

    Any ideas?
