    msn virus HELP

    it advertises itself as msn8. i scanned it and it came back as negative. ie no virus. i now cannot access my norton internet security, firefox or msn. but can play css online? i run windows xp home and sp2. HELP MEE PLEEZ

    Try this

    Start-> Control Panel -> Add/remove programs

    Uninstall MSN.

    I used to write pages on msn viruses cause retarded friends got them but then i found my new pc and a counter strike disk

    lol. the problem is that it has turned off my antivirus so i cant bring it up. and it has screwed all the settings of my router so i cant go on the internet.

    try looking in your registry under

    HKEY Local\Microsoft\Windows\Security Centre\Norton antivirus

    At this point look for the name of the antivirus you are using and click on it. You will see one or more entry that goes along the lines of..... disable antivirus.....delete it!!

    Reboot and once back on the internet download Spybot

    lol it turns out that i had loads of viruses, real bad ones which proves norton is poo.

    You've probably got loads of malware too then. Download Spybot S&D, Hijackthis, Adaware SE and use them once a week to keep everything hunky dory.
