Thread: Urmm guys..... I think my computer just died :( Please help!

    My PSU died the other day too. Mid BF2 heard a pop and no power to anything. It was a 480W unit as well, so its not like its short of power. One of the capacitors had blown in half. I think that its just one of those things that happen occaisionally. Mine was an Antec. What make was yours?

    I still haven't got round to sending mine back yet, had a spare no brand 500W lying around so using that instead for the mo.

    It was a Tagan 2Force.

    I hope that's what it was. I didn't look inside because I wanted it replaced.

    I didn't have to take mine apart or anything to see the damage. Just looked in through the air intake grill to see a complete mess of melted plastic that had solidified in midexplosion. Looked quite good. Not £80 of new psu good though.....

    Yikes! No offense, but I wouldn't perform such an operation without a source more reliable than a forum post...
