    Copying an HD

Hi guys - got a 200GB drive I want to copy to a 250GB drive, both different manufacturers etc Ideally I'd want it on a bootable ISO (no floppy, but I have a pen drive too)

The 250gb (empty & new) is unfortunately in an external USB2.0 caddy...

Any suggestions would be of help!

If you want to clone the disk (ie make an identical bitmap image) you could do a lot worse than use drive2drive/Caspar. However you would need to remove the new drive from the caddy and install it as a slave drive in the machine that contains the drive you want to clone. I assume you are using a version of Windows as your OS...

unfortunately so, otherwise I'd be doing this in a far more efficent way. Unfortunately the PC concerned is in a mini-shuttle case and I can't fit in another drive. Infact, I can't even get the IDE cable out of the existing drives everything is so crammed!

Got a copy of bartPE and am building a disc to copy over my bits and pieces! Wether I can actually read the data is another problem I'll have to deal with.
