Unfortunatly the overall quality of threads in GD does fluctate from time to time usually because people get bored and post random stuff (guilty of it myself). It is however a haven compared to some of the other forum's I visit where thread title's such as -

"In the lockerroom at the gym, why do fat old men feel the need to be naked as much"

"What if boobies were inverted?"

and

"I am posting naked..."

are horrifically commonplace

I agree with you geezerone at the fact that not everybody is as knowledgable as everybody else and so its harder for them to make 500 constructive posts, but really, is an avatar THAT important?

Don't get me wrong - I am not ranting by any means, merely stating what I consider a nice personalisation of ones Identity so to speak and isn't THAT important at all - just my tuppence worth.

Yup, that is a possible downside, though Hexus seems to manage the impossible...keep a good friendly/jokey atmosphere (when appropriate) while keeping spam to a minimum. Nice one guys
