Booting off a remote DVD Drive

    Right,

My desktop doesn't have a working DVD drive at the moment, my laptop does.
Is there any way I can boot my desktop off a bootable DVD which is in my Laptop?
(Without taking the DVD drive out of the laptop).

A long shot, I know, but maybe someone can help...

    Thanks!

No! You need an operating system running on the desktop to get connectivity with the laptop!

    Thought so...
What about booting off an ISO? I can use the CD and floppy drive, and store an ISO on the hard drive... I guess the answer would be no again. I really should buy a new DVD drive.

Well if you were booting off a remote drive, that would use a network.
    Look into network boots.
If your mobo supports it (check bios).

If you have a floppy drive in your machine you could boot from that then use http://www.nu2.nu/bootdisk/network/ to access the DVDROM across your network.
