    Information On Fan...

I took my fan out to see what make it is due to wanting to upgrade and see the speces currently (noise level mostly) as i feel it to be quite noisy, but want to compare the dbs of this to others, it has a sticker on it saying www.eye-t.com and is 80mm, but this website is no longer there... anyone know of any specs for this fan? Only thing i could find remoltely linked to this was an Eye-t psu

Well, if it sounds loud, it is.
Buy a silent fan, and it WILL be quieter.
TBH, the dB rating is never really something to go by. Manufacturers tend to "cheat" the tests (e.g. dB measured from what distance? 3cm or 3m? Makes a big difference).
If silence is what you're after, spend £6 on a silent fan, and it shouldn't disapoint you.
There are plenty of threads on this kind of topic around, but look for a decent make - SilenX, Zalman, Akasa Amber Series, etc. Don't forget, if airflow isn't overly important, you can always undervolt!

    Happy hunting.
