hi all, just installed a KV8pro 3rd-eye, re-installed windows - now besides my IDE cable being too short to reach both DVDR drives, sometimes one of them (the NEC) isn't detected by BIOS, and I can't write to discs in it. The 3500a is, I'm led to believe a 16x writer, but in Cyberlink Power2Go, it won't detect discs that already have sata on them, or let me burn data (of any kind - files, video etc) to disc. I'm using the 2.18 firmware for the drive (official) & Philips 16x DVD-R discs, I've never had any probs with cyberlink's software before. anyone have a clue as to what it could be?
I did set the jumper on the NEC to 'slave' but it's got the 'master' cable plug, simply because of the cable length, could that be the problem? it still reads/copies from discs with no problem. I had 2.16 firmware, but updated thinking it would solve the problem.
Help!!
