I have a new problem that renders Photoshop 7.0 completely useless.
Firstly, I am running Windows XP SP2 on a Thinkpad T20.
I have had Photoshop 7.0 installed for months & it has always worked fine.
However now, I can still open an image, but whenever I do anything that causes a subsequent window to appear (for example resize, new, levels, etc.) the subsequent window does not appear. The main Photoshop window becomes unusable & any clicks resort in that annoying Windows XP 'boink' noise that signifies that you are clicking in a background window. However the new foregraound window is nowehere to be seen.
I have now uninstalled & re-installed the program 3 times, which makes me think that it is a problem with Windows XP & not Photoshop 7.0.
Can anybody help?
PS - yes I have tried pressing [Alt] + [Tab], to no avail.
EDIT: its okay, problem solved, but if anybody else has a similar problem, it may be because photoshop thinks that there is a second monitor attached when in actual fact you removed it weeks ago, hence the dialogue boxes were appearing on a monitor that didn't exist, hence I couldn't click on them.
