No video @ boot?

Hey guys,

Just rebooted my computer and my monitor flicks on, says 'no signal' and then goes back into standby mode.

Its connected with a dvi-dvi lead, the card is dual dvi and i cant find a dvi-vga adapter anywhere... any ideas whats going wrong? it was just a standard Start->shutdown->reboot thing, so nothing should've gone wrong?

The monitor works fine using a vga cable (connected to a different computer) but nothing is happening using DVI...

oh and the computer boots to windows fine - get the 'windows sound' as it enters windows so its not that!!

*sigh* bloody computers, found my spare geforce4, put that in, everything fired up fine... swap back in the 6600gt, and the video is back... no idea why it broke, and no idea why its working... fickle.
