im wondering, as you have checked everything else, if the hard disk is ok....did you run a check disc on it? right click on c: drive in my computer, then properties, then tools, then error checking and then tick both the boxes and let it go, itll probably reboot...leave it going til its done...worth a go i would say at this point
p.s. how did you get on with burning mem test to cd?
Did you install the nVidia Network Access Manager?
That's known to cause corruption - either uninstall it or set to not offloadable.
ok i did that and it worked . another question, 95% of the time i do a restart it comes up with CMOS Checksum error - Defaults Loaded - Press F1 to continue.
Now this is stupidly annoying as i have to put the time right everytime, and it also seems to like to take ages on the windows loading page.....
Ideas on this one?
me thinks my mobo is up the shute... ????????

Oh yeah, I think (just now) because of the battery is dry, the pnp setting is cleared every time you boot, thats why windows boot that slowly (just a possibility though

I think most hardware shops etc should sell those batteries - check the size of the existing one to replace.
Jumpers... can be bought in maplin http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?...umper&doy=16m4
