Think my Pentium D system just died, any clue?

After running a couple days of xvid/x264 encodings my PD920 rig decided to crash. And it never booted after that

Symptoms:
1. No graphics
2. System not responding to reset / soft-off.
3. No beeps at all
4. CPU Fan started up slowly, than cranked up (typical of CNPS9500-AT)

Things I tried:
1. Reset BIOS - No joy
2. Replace GFX - No joy
3. Removed all expansion cards - No joy
4. Moved ram to another channel - No joy
5. Removed ram from system - No joy (was expecting it to beep at least, and response to soft-off, but no, it still don't response to anything)
6. Removed all unnecessary cables - No joy

Anything else I could check?

Settings:
PD920 @ 286*14, 1.3625V
Ram - Corsair VS DDR2-533 @ DDR2-762-5-5-10-5 1.95V
Hiper Type-R Modular 580W

The 920 was full loading at 65'C but it looked acceptable after checking out reviews.

Remove the CPU and try starting it up. You should get the beeps for no CPU installed. If you get nothing at all, then the board might be dead.

Above method certainly works on AMD boards, so I'd assume it will also work on P4 boards.

Edit: Or your PSU could be goosed.

Weird...
I did nothing and it suddenly booted up without any trouble.

smells fo a loose wire either inside the power supply or on the power connector that attaches to the motherboard.

PSU may have tripped? This was happening to a system I built a couple of years ago.

After a few hours it would work again.

Thats the weird thing... Tried another PSU and it didn't boot. I just leave it for a few hours and it magically booted (with either of the PSU of course)
