    Canada/UK Compatability

Hello everyone, i currently live in Canada and I have a bit of a problem or a question rather. Im planning on building a new rig in the next month. However, i will be moving to England shortly after and am hestiant to buy components from North America in case they dont work when i move to the UK. If i do build a new rig in Canada will it work 100% in the UK?

    - Thanks

You should be fine, virtually all power supplies are auto-switching for voltage these days, and the components inside the case all work off the same +/-5v & +/-12v.

The only thing you'll need is either a new kettle lead or a socket adapter for the wall plug

Just to be safe, I'd buy a new PSU when your over here. Don't want to be killing your motherboard or anything do you?!

Component wise though - everything will be fine. Your better buying all the PC parts you can, whilst you can over there. Because you'll hate the PC component prices over here.

There's absolutely no point in buying a new psu when you're over here, it's just a waste of money as they're all universal these days.

Given the spec above it *will* be fine.

Yeah, the prices are quite a bit cheaper over here xa04 and I actually emailed Antec and they ensured my it would work It was basically the components i was worried about.
