    Sata raid

Right, this week I'll be setting up two sata drives in raid. I'll be using raid 0 to set them up. The setup will go like this:

    160g sata for windows
    2*hds for storage

Now is it possible to install windows and then setup the raid array (in windows), without using a floppy (I haven't got one). My sata drive is recognised automatically when I format and re-enter windows. On my old motherboard when I formatted I'd have to install sata drivers in windows for it to see my sata drive.

You can download the drivers that would normally go on a floppy and just point the OS towards them when it needs to load the array.

Yay. I thought it could be done. So when I go into windows it'll just ask me for them?

Yeah, setup the array via the RAID BIOS that your board will most likely have, then install the OS on your normal drive n then setup your data on the other array once your installed.
Failing that theres always the option of "slipstreaming" the SATA drivers into an install CD.
